Hello, my friend there far away!
It is that time of the year when we Finns begin to wait for Christmas. That is the biggest celebration of the year to many people. Some like the feeling (atmosphere ?) of calm, others to give and get presents. And the delight of children when Santa Claus comes. It is very important to have snow, too. Also, candles belong to the Christmas time.
How do you celebrate Christmas?
Looking forward to your answer.
Best regards
Eager waiter

Dear Eager Waiter,
I'm going to celebrate this Christmas just at home by eating tons of chocolate. I'm too lazy to prepare any food myself. I'm going to buy everything and just warm it up.
By the way... The easiest 'Christmas cleaning': Turn the lights off and use just candles.
Love,
Lazy Virtual Coyote

If you ever surf the net, visit "Merjan joulusivut". You can use that as the search word in Google, for example. ( www.google.fi ) - there's a lot of stuff about Xmas, in Finnish, in English and so on. Best regards Flying step

For many people Christmas means - free time. Sometimes I need to work, too. When I was a child, I was afraid of Father Christmas. Not, nowadays.
Candles belong to the Christmas time and Christmas food and I think Christmas church, too, and the sauna.
Best regards
Ann

I love Christmas. It's the time of love. Then I can collect my nearest beloved people together. And the atmosphere of Christmas makes all of us happy and kind. I like to make presents or to choose them in the shops.
Love

Only one month and we will have Christmas, the greatest celebration of the year! We have a lot to do: we must make food, write and send cards, make or buy presents. We will visit our relatives and friends. We can talk and eat together and forget the whole bad world!
Peaceful Christmas

I don't want to stress about Christmas. I think that many people are feeling stressed before Christmas and that is not such a good thing. I just want to be with my loved ones at Christmas and anything else is not so important.

I like Christmas very much. I like Christmas food, different casseroles and fish dishes. I want to decorate my home with Christmas things. I will stay up very late on Christmas Eve and go to church at midnight. I like to spend a peaceful Christmas.
Best regards
