Well, around Christmas I suppose everybody has been following the news about the catastrophy in Asia. I went to yle's news site and was not surprised by the headlines I found there, of which I pasted some examples here.

I don't know what to say - my deepest sympathy to everyone who suffered there, and a lot of strength and support from other people to them. - And, we should all remember that the disaster will not be over when the news doesn't report on it anymore. Different kind of help, financial and otherwise, will be need in many areas of the world that have suffered from various kinds of disasters.
Well, I also found some information about English news broadcasts on the radio, on TV etc. I'll paste that news item here as well.
